Tom Diesing started building his own elk calls after getting frustrated with the inconsistent calls he used in the field. When he found one he liked and wore it out, the next one never sounded the same. So he bought a press and started building his own, focused on the right latex thickness, the right stretch, and a recipe he could reproduce over and over again.
