About Mile High Note Game Calls
Mile High Note Game Calls was built from a lifelong passion for elk hunting and elk calling. Founded by world-class elk caller Tom Diesing, the company was born from decades spent chasing elk in the Rocky Mountains and a relentless pursuit of authentic elk sound.
Today, Mile High Note continues to build consistent, high-performing elk calls while sharing the knowledge and passion that has shaped generations of elk hunters.

Built From a Passion for Elk Calling
The idea for Mile High Note started from a simple understanding.
Tom Diesing had spent years pursuing his passion for elk hunting and competing in elk calling competitions across the country. When he finally found a diaphragm call he liked, he would use it until it wore out.
But when he bought the same call again, it sounded different.
For someone passionate about authentic elk sound, that inconsistency was unacceptable.
So Tom bought a press and began building his own calls.
What started as a personal quest to create the perfect elk call quickly turned into the foundation for Mile High Note Game Calls.

The Recipe for Authentic Elk Sound
Every Mile High Note call begins with a specific formula.
The right latex thickness.
The right stretch.
The right tension.
Tom developed what he calls a recipe for producing authentic elk vocalizations.
Just as important as the recipe itself is the consistency of building that call the same way every time. Every Mile High Note call is produced to exact specifications so hunters know exactly what they are getting when they open a new package.
Because confidence in your call matters when that once in a lifetime bull answers back.

Decades in the Elk Woods
Tom has spent more than 40 years hunting elk on over-the-counter public land tags throughout the Rocky Mountains.
Over those decades he has learned that even heavily pressured elk will still respond to the right sounds.
Persistence. Authenticity. And saying the right thing at the right time.
Elk vocalizations revolve around breeding behavior. When hunters understand what elk are saying and respond correctly, even call-shy bulls can still be brought into range.
Of course, a great call is only part of the equation.
Practice matters.

Our Mission
At Mile High Note Game Calls, our mission is to support wildlife conservation through ethical hunting while helping hunters close the distance between themselves and the game they pursue.
We do this by producing high-quality, consistent elk calls and providing education that helps hunters understand and communicate with elk in the field.
Because when hunters understand elk language, the hunt becomes something more than chance.

A Legacy That Continues
For the Diesing family, elk hunting is more than a season. It is a way of life.
Tom’s son Thomas Diesing grew up hunting and fishing in the Colorado Rockies and learning the craft of elk calling alongside his dad. Today Thomas competes nationally and has won multiple World Elk Calling titles across several divisions.
Working together in the field and in the business has been one of the greatest joys of Tom’s life.
Now the next generation is beginning to grow up around the same passion.
The legacy continues.

Hunt Like You Mean It
From competition stages to backcountry elk camps, the goal has always been the same:
Build elk calls that produce authentic sound, perform consistently, and help hunters communicate with elk the way nature intended.
Because when the sound is right, everything changes.
Don’t leave it to chance. Hunt like you mean it!
